Institute for Public Health Innovation (IPHi) is a nonprofit public health institute serving the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. IPHi works closely with partners throughout the Mid-Atlantic to improve the public's health. IPHi provides leadership by working across disciplines and sectors to develop, support, implement, and evaluate creative strategies to improve the public's health, reduce chronic diseases, and build community. IPHi is a relative newcomer to the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI), an organization of 36 institutes throughout the U.S.


The Virginia Municipal League is a statewide, nonprofit, nonpartisan association of city, town, and county governments. The League was established in 1905 to improve and assist local governments through legislative advocacy, research, education, and other services. The membership includes all of the state’s 39 cities, as well as 156 towns and 10 counties. The League’s leadership supports initiatives and measures to ensure a healthier, more vibrant future for the state’s communities.
